I love this rod. I keep it in my backpack or van where ever I go. No more catching on tree limbs and brush as I walk along a bank. It casts just as far as my regular pole. I am very happy with the construction of the rod as well. Another plus is I can hand it off to my children and it is just the right size for them. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to fish and also to anyone who loves to hike or hunt...it is always on your back when you need it.

I have always fished with the very best,most expensive graphite rods in the market.In the summer of 2011 I was at a mall in Napa Idaho.Their was a man demonstrating the emmrod.I came home,went to the emmrod website l read all the info.looked @ the videos,called Duane the creator of these rods and ordered the Packer with the charcoal grey handle,4 coil,and closed face reel.I have also purchased the 6 coil,the short 2 tip rod and the top water rod for fishing surface lures!When you attach the top water rod to the packer,with either a closed face or a level wind reel spooled with 2#-4# test line,you now have an ultra-lite fishing rod setup! It doesent get any better than that!!! I'm the envy of the other fisherman!Duane and his son Lance are the poster boys when it comes to customer interaction and service and they personify the meaning of service and exceptionl quality!! thanks!

I ordered a Packer Cast fishing pole on a Friday and recieved the pole the following Monday. When I opened the package I found the rod had an orange handle instead of the black handle I ordered. I called the company to explain the problem and without question they agreed to ship me a new rod, with the black handle. I asked if I should ship the orange one back in the new box and was told I could keep it and if I choose order an addtional spring [rod end] then I could have two rods. You don't see customer service like that very often these days. Thanks

I have had the Emmrod Packer since 2007 and I love it. I can put it in a backpack and it goes wherever I go...motorcycle trips, camping trips, or just leave it behind the seat of my truck so it is always handy. The Emmrod has become my rod and reel of choice no matter the occasion. In addition to the portability and durability of this product, I have been more than impressed by its casting ability. You can cast under handed, left handed, right handed, around the little bush that is in the way, you name it! Casts that are literally impossible with a full sized rod and reel seem effortless with the Emmrod. I recently bought another Emmrod Packer so my friends can keep up with me. Keep up the good work!

I love this rod! On the Atlantic coast in Nicaragua, fishing for snappers and groupers in the riffs of the Pearl Cays,I just showed the 3 other guys in the boat what fishing is.After initialy almost laughed out of the boat, I did pull out more fish than the other three guy's combined. Unforgetable! They all want a Packer now!

I recently have started kayak fishing and have always struggled with the length of a standard pole on my kayak.Then I found emmrods. The short length makes landing fish very easy from the kayak and they also store nicely in my front hatch. Recently caught a 7lb calico bass on my 7coil packer. Great rod, sensitive with plenty of backbone.
